"Check Spoilers" implication

This check spoilers tag is intended to be used for when people aren't sure the spoilers tag applies to a given image. I presume an implication to spoilers couldn't hurt, like how various other "check X" meta tags imply their respective "request" tags (although spoilers isn't a request tag at all but...The principle is still sound right?).

This tag seems uneeded? Spoilers already faces issues of people not being sure what qualifies and different people having various interpretations of what is and isn't a spoiler. There are several things like Devil Homura which are inconsistently tagged and people can't decide on stuff like how long, if ever, spoilers last.

I guess I feel spoilers by itself always carries an inherent check simply due to stuff like aging. If the tag exists though I agree with your BUR due to matching stuff like check_copyright

I mainly use it for when I'm not sure if an image is referencing spoilers overtly enough as to need the tag (as in, would someone who doesn't know the full context figure out the image is a spoiler?). Dunno how everyone else who uses it uses it, but I'd rather be unsure and tag spoilers just to be safe than not tag it at all and spoil somebody.

Although if this tag were to get nuked or deprecated or meet any other sort of fate, I won't fight against it.
