97.23% of all statistics are made up on the fly. The actual percentage of gap/Yakumo Yukari portal images in the pool is 88% (87.74% of 212 images w/o deleted and 87.56% of 225 w/ deleted). Even if one were to remove the gap images from the pool that would still be enough non-gap images to have a pool to still exist.
Another issue is definition differences. While I do think many of the images in the pool could fit in with mundane utility, there is a rather important difference in how the pool and the tag are defined. The tag is defined as "[powers] used for everyday applications", and the pool is defined as "unusual application for a teleportation portal." post #713203 depicts a character teleporting her urine into the other character's bottle of tea as the other character is drinking it. That would not be a "everyday application" of power, but it would definitely be a "unusual application" of power. post #916873 as well, depicting a character sticking their penis into a portal so they can autofellatio themselves is another depiction of something that is an "unusual application" and not a "everyday application." Some other examples that would be "unusual" but not "everyday": post #1265848, post #1361470, post #665499. Depending on how perverted you think an "everyday application" is may swing these on whether they're "unusual" or "everyday" and also depending on whether a prankster performing a prank qualifies as "unusual" or "everyday": post #540545, post #993966, post #1267211, post #250141.
@NWF Renim - most of your examples would qualify to "Perversion of Powers" pool. However I think we should keep the pool as it is - for Yukari's gaps searching for "gap mundane_utility" & "gap pool:4234" & god_knows_what_for_nor_mundane_nor_perverted would be inconvenient, and for other characters' powers - impossible.

The "why" is that they're all separate stories. There's a core cast that tends to appear in all stories, and there's continuity between the stories, but they're self-contained.

If there's continuity it should be one pool. There's a ton of comic series that act exactly like this that aren't split into multiple pools because it's dumb and messsy. Let's post a new episode of this comic! Oh, now that it's posted let's go add it to FIFTEEN pool descriptions. Alternately, Oh I am reading this comic and reached the end now I have to go back to the pool listing to read the next chapter, this is fun and inutitive!

Well, actually, no… Because not every user has an access to the usage of three tags at the same time.
Also, tags cannot be merged together. It means there could be two girls: one without a tail, but with an exposed ass, and second with a tail, but with no visible ass.

If nothing else the pool seems somewhat arbitrary. I mean, rules like "no explicit images" as well as "...keep in mind that just because a character has a giant ass with a tail glued onto it doesn't automatically make it a candidate for this pool." make it seem more like a pool for someone's personal tastes rather than a specific needed pool.

Not having access to searching with more than two tags has ~never~ been related to whether something gets a pool or not. In fact, creating pools to get around the tag search limit for basic accounts seems like something that I recall specifically being frowned on in the past.

Frankly, this is something that's an inherent problem with the search system, and I don't see any reason tails and asses would warrant any special privilege here. For instance, if you were looking for pics that have a guy with a girl in them, you might search for "1guy 1girl". But if you specifically wanted pictures with a guy and a girl where the girl had blonde hair, obviously "1girl 1guy blonde_hair" would include posts where the guy has blonde hair and not the girl. That doesn't mean we're going to be creating a pool for "girls with blonde hair that are with a guy".

As a basic member I'm aware of this. The deal is that one either gets by with two tags/search or opens one's wallet (or in rarer cases helps out a ton). In my experience two tags are enough the vast majority of time given that you put at least a little effort in sorting through the results. But that's a story for another thread.
