How long until Chinese whiners try to either replace the art work or completely censor Tan Yang?
Like how they’re trying to replace/censor Acea4’s Helena and Yashiro.
That's stupid because their reason for both of those artist were political, both of them being Taiwanese and having opinions that pretty much pissed off the nationalists.
They have no reason to replace anything because then they would have to replace the original Yukikaze and Tan Yang is the closest thing to respect they're gonna be getting from Kancolle as we can see by how modest she looks, especially coming from a known artist who tend to go too far in design.
If they're going to replace, they might as well just stick to Azur Lane.

Funny you mention Azur Lane as it's not a secret that its Yukikaze that had largely omitted her time as Tan Yang, likely for reasons that I suspect amount to avoiding excess Chinese nationalism/trying not to rub the japanese market the wrong way. But why would the Chinese want to Censor a time where they managed to nab a ship from the Japanese?
But I don't think KC concerns itself with China whatsoever (otherwise Azur Lane would have been stonewalled from Lawson's collaborating like in Japan) , Warship Girls however...
Though i have to wonder if the demand to replace the artist is rooted in how bland his designs are (She might be the first case of an KC snipe attempt largely failing)

AL Hibiki has no mention of her time in USSR either, at least from the lines I do paid attention to. I think the devs just decided to not include post-WW2 info, even the AnShan sisters, who are post-WW2, didn't have anything relating to post-WW2 aside from the fact they never saw actual combat.

Tan Yang is Taiwanese. It was the Republic of China (Taiwan) that got her not the People's Republic of China.

Then thats fucking hilarious. Censor away all they want then, it won’t take her out of the game unless they actually go and try to hack the game but that’s tampering with the data. Hell, they might as well just remodel her to the other version if they hate Tan Yang so much(Yukikaze Kai2 is slightly stronger, if stats is what is really cared about).
Won’t change a thing no matter how much they try to replace the art or name (and as if there is a better Artist than Shizuma, since they at best get amateurs to do the redraws) and they’ll have to replace all of Yukikaze’s art while they’re at it since it’ll be stupid to have only Tan Yang suddenly look completely different. Hell, why even stop there. We know that most of the crybabies also probably have problems with Americans and the Japanese so might as well replace all them too. Make an entirely new game while they’re at it...OH Wait!
Once again, they might as well just stick with fucking Azur Lane if the very idea of actual history is in their face and they proceed to want to stick their fingers in their ears and close their eyes to reality. Isn’t that the reason for the Chinese Spinoffs? To cater to the Chinese?
Let those of us who like Kancolle for being Kancolle stay that way.

One of Hibiki's lines says the name Verniy is nostalgic, and while it's not overtly stated, multiple events before Hibiki was added to the game included an extra scene of Akatsuki searching for the missing Hibiki, alluding to her being sent to the USSR.
There's also Centaur, a post WW2 carrier, and Deutschland's secretary quest mentions her time as Lutzow. In Deutschland's case, though, it's possible the devs mixed up Deutschland and the original Lutzow (which was sold to the USSR) as being the same ship.

Oh thanks. I haven't able to check out all the voice lines. Also no the devs wasn't mistaken. Deutschland was indeed renamed to Lutzow. And there are hints of she is a combination of both ships
