It wasn't directly about this post but this is at least the 30th time I've seen it done. If nothing else copy/paste the tags into a romanizer and it will give you a good idea what they should be tagged.
Because Dead Space is a game where freaky shit like this happens. I haven't played it, but I'd guess the picture is meant to mimic a type of alien in the game.
@Tyranida. I can enlighten you a bit. There's this "separator" hostile that breaks into limbs when you shoot at it few times, the head one, if it kills you, cuts your head off and takes you'r own head's place on your body. Taking it over..

That's the first thing I thought.
It's spelled penanggalan, though. It's Malaysian but there are similar myths in the Philippines IIRC. The Japanese have their own monster women who can detach their heads and fly them around, the nukekubi, but they don't trail organs. OTOH, the Malaysian version trails much more than just the spine.
Meh. I'm over analysing this. It's just creepy and cool.

Hahah, good one.
Wait, you're being serious?
Dead Space is to horror as Sonic is to platforming. When it pops up, it sort of shocks you, but then you get used to it when it pops up every 5 minutes or so.

I'm playing Dead Space right now, it's 2:00 in the morning. Nothing really scary, though I had a few jumpy moments and some real hell (yes, scary, but not creepy, just very intense and thrilling) struggling with this crappy computer to run from the Hunter before it slices me. Though it might be because I accustomed myself so much with screencaps and videos before trying the game myself.
But besides the annoying slow response, again because of the low system of my computer, it's hell of a fun game.
It's been a while since I played Dead Space, but I've noticed that Dead Space 2 uses jump scares to get you on edge and pulls out all the creepy shit when you're nice and uneasy.

Probably creepiest death i ever saw in that game.
It's call the Divider if I'm right, when you blow that thing's limbs and head off... yeah.

If you're curious about these, they showed up in the Hellboy direct-to-video movie Sword of Storms. Half the movie is Hellboy wandering through feudal Japan and beating the shit out of youkai, and the nukekubi is one of the ones he fights.
Also, "Penanggalan" sounds Welsh to me. Probably a coincidence, but still curious.
