They broke their neck, they are effectively paralyzed. I am pretty sure you wouldn't need a support for someone's neck if they are dead.
Also small thing of interest. In the first image, Stelle has multiple bite and scratch marks. I am guessing they decided they didn't want to hurt anymore.

So yeah, dark.
They didn't decide anything, this is referencing plot.
On what? The post is already tagged with spoilers, and I didn't say anything about what happens that isn't already clear from this post as well as all the other ones memeing about it.

Because most people don't constantly skim the tag list for every image they check here?
Because black-marking the spoiler tag is counterintuitive since you may care about spoilers for one franchise but not care about spoilers from 99 other franchises and blocking the tag will cut you off from lot of good material?
Honestly I don't care about being spoiled, but it is nevertheless good etiquette to put recent reveals in spoiler tabs, even if the image alludes to said spoiler. Hell, most people tend to do it even for images that explicitly spoil stuff here. Especially if it is recent event.

You can blacklist spoilers for specific copyrights, you don't have to blacklist the entire spoilers tag. Just put both tags on the same line.
If you come across spoilers on a post tagged spoilers because you didn't add "honkai:_star_rail spoilers" to your blacklist, that's on you. The post itself is a spoiler, and again, I didn't say anything about what happens. All I said was that this is referencing plot events, which is already evident by it being tagged spoilers. It would be a different matter if I actually described what happens, but I didn't, nor will I.
