I've facepalmed many times translating this while also wondering if I should just leave it be, letting it fly under the radars of those who can't read Korean. I've done it anyway and it might need to be tossed somewhere else because I'm in a state of shock and awe after repeatedly reading this amazing text more times than I should.

    For context, this was originally posted right before the 2024 NHK Mile Cup, while Kota Fujioka and Jo Cappucino won the 2009 NHK Mile Cup. This was in memoriam to the jockey who died as a result of a racing accident the month before the Mile Cup.

    This drawing is quite famous. Many people mistakenly believe it's official art, or was created by Junji Ito, but it's fanart.

    I've added some derivative works as child posts, because I can't think of a good tag name for this.

    On what evidence do you claim that all these other posts are derivative of this specific illustration?
